I don't know if this is the original version but i think this is the best version that i heard so
far in spite of my respect for the version by the Righteous Brothers and i cannot understand why
this beautiful version was never released the year when the song was conceived and never after that.
Perry Como sang that song in 1955, the same year as Al Hibbler did a version of his own and have a
big hit with it.
This is a wonderful version of "Unchained Melody", especially if you turn the volume up. Another great version was by The Platters. Written by Hy Zarat, and music composed by Alex North.
